This website is operated by Brilliantio Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, which is the data controller for it. First Person Science is a book brand of Brilliantio Ltd. Information involved in a visit
This site has no accounts, forms, mailing list, analytics or advertising trackers. When you visit, Vercel, our hosting provider, processes technical information such as your IP address, browser details, the pages requested and the time of each request, so that it can deliver and protect the site.
If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you choose to include. We use it to reply and keep the correspondence for as long as we need it to handle your enquiry and for our ordinary business records.
Children
The books are written for children, but this website is meant for the adults who choose books for them. The site does not ask for or knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has emailed us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Why we use information
We use technical request data to keep the site available and secure, and correspondence to answer messages. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the site and in responding to enquiries.
Sharing and transfers
Vercel hosts the site, Cloudflare runs its domain name service, and our email provider handles messages you send us. These providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, we rely on the transfer safeguards they provide.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, erase or restrict personal information we hold about you, or object to its use where the law allows. Email hello@brilliantio.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We will update this page before the site adds anything that changes how information is handled, such as a mailing list.
